Jamb Result: Why Some Candidates are yet to view their Result



 The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has warned that a few students may not see their results for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to JAMB, the reason is because a portion of the results have been withheld. The examination body attributed the non-release of a portion of the 2022 UTME results to examination malpractices, misconduct, breach of procedural cycles and fragmented survey of focuses.

According to Punch, this was made known by the Head, Public Affairs and Protocol of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, during a meeting on Monday, where he listed these reasons and asked candidates to appropriately take a look at their results.


Benjamin said, "We have released results for this batch. There are many factors that can lead to a result being withheld. It very well may be as a result of examination malpractice, the candidate's inability to behave or herself appropriately, a breach in procedural cycle or a survey of the middle."


JAMB had earlier in its release promised to withhold the results of candidates saw as at fault for malpractices. The announcement partly reads, "About 1.4 million candidates have up to this point taken the examination across the nation, with a few examination towns and focuses finishing their own allotted number of candidates for the year while the results of meetings already taken will be released to the individual candidates.

"Notwithstanding, the release of these results is with a caveat that after previewing the Closed Circuit Television footage of the direct of the examination, the result of any candidate viewed as wanting would be withdrawn on the off chance that it had been released or withheld while perhaps not yet released."


Recall that JAMB on Saturday, May 14, 2022, announced the release of the results of candidates who sat for the equitable closed 2022 UTME, saying that it had not uploaded the results to its site for clear reasons and as such advised on the cycle for really taking a look at the results.


Benjamin in his statement said that the candidates could check their results utilizing the SMS code, advising them to send UTMERESULT in single word to 55019 to have their results checked. About 1.7 million candidates were accounted for to have taken part in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination nationwide in 755 registered PC based focuses.
