COEASU Extend Strike by three weeks

The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) has broadened its admonition strike by another three weeks to permit the Federal Government to satisfy its needs.

The National Executive Council of the union took the choice during a gathering at the Federal College of Education, Kano on July 19, 2022.

COEASU originally pronounced a 4weeeks strike on tenth June, 2022 to squeeze home its requests.

Nevertheless, the union concurred that some headway had been made, especially in the space of revitalisation, it said the augmentation would give the Federal Government an opportunity to satisfy the excess needs.

In a proclamation together endorsed by the President of COEASU, Dr. Brilliant Olugbeko and General Secretary, Dr. Ahmed Bazza, the union thumped the legislatures of Oyo, Benue, Plateau and Ebonyi States for the "unjustifiable implementation of no work, no compensation without earlier significant commitment to aggregate dealing in spite of the union's long inclination to elective question goal."

The NEC charged the national secretariat to support the continuous endeavors to address the predicaments of the impacted individuals.
